Challenge
An entirely new building was needed to replace the college’s current school located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. The new facility would need to accommodate a wide variety of tenants and make full use of current and future campus information technology and interactive video capabilities.
Solution
WHR helped the university envision a design in which classrooms and instructional lab facilities would be in close proximity, to facilitate a seamless association between academic and hands-on learning. The plan included classrooms for both on-site and distance learning, a human simulation lab, skill teaching labs, computer labs and an auditorium.
Results
This outstanding new facility allows the university to offer unprecedented teaching opportunities and learning experiences for onsite and distance-education programs.
