Burleson St. Joseph Manor offers 80 intermediate nursing care beds for elderly residents needing complete care and 16 beds for residents with advanced stages of dementia needing quality care in a secured environment. Part of St. Joseph Health System�s senior life services continuum of care, WHR�s design for this new 50,000 square foot facility features private bedrooms organized in clusters to create individual neighborhoods.
Each of the "neighborhoods" is situated for easy access to the dining hall, which is located at "town center." Decentralized living rooms, screened-in-porches, outdoor covered patios, and indoor activity areas create a residential feeling, while providing maximum opportunity for socialization and independence within a secure, nurturing, and pleasant environment. Mature oak trees surround the facility and are preserved within courtyard spaces. Fields of wildflowers, a manicured lawn, and garden areas all provide beautiful views. In addition, the 18-acre site is designed to accommodate future growth, including assisted living facilities.
