Unique in its scope and purpose, this training facilitiy has a Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory for use in testing and training astronauts for missions related to the International Space Station. Simulated weightless training and testing takes place within a 102-ft. wide by 202-ft. long by 40-ft. deep pool containing 6.2 million gallons of water. Supporting pool activities include extensive systems for breathing gases, water treatment, diver equipment, test conductors, control rooms, medical offices, locker rooms, electronic labs, and conferencing facilities.
