University of Houston – Central Stadium Parking Garage

The University of Houston Central Stadium Parking Garage serves as a new gateway to the campus for students, faculty/staff, and visitors as well as features a lively ground-level plaza with shops and food service amenities for students and many loyal alumni who return regularly for football games and campus events. 

The parking garage is located at the heart of the new Stadium Precinct on the western edge of the campus, walking distance from Robertson Stadium, Hofheinz Pavilion, and the future METRORail Southeast Line. It is a four-level, precast concrete structure with space for 2,296 vehicles, including 20 motorcycles. Included in the garage is 12,000 gross square feet of mixed-use space which is occupied by the UH Parking Office, parking customer service area, bookstore, C-store, and a restaurant.

During special events, entries and exits can work together to handle arriving or departing vehicles, distinct parking areas can link to serve overflow crowds, and weekday flow can be reversed to improve event traffic flow. These features, with the garage’s express ramp on the north side of the building, allow all vehicles to exit the garage within 30 minutes. Confining the ramp to one side allows three trays of uninterrupted parking on the south of the garage.
