Prairie View A&M University - College of Nursing

An entirely new building was needed to replace Prairie View A&M's current school located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. The new facility would need to accommodate a wide variety of tenants and make full use of current and future campus information technology and interactive video capabilities. WHR helped the university envision a design in which classrooms and instructional lab facilities would be in close proximity and to facilitate a seamless association between academic and hands-on learning.

The plan included classrooms for both on-site and distance learning, a human simulation lab, skill teaching labs, computer labs and an auditorium. This outstanding new facility allows the university to offer unprecedented teaching opportunities and learning experiences for onsite and distance-education programs.
