Allied Health Program’s New Facilities Integrate into Del Mar College

Del Mar College - Health Science and Technology Center

Del Mar College set aside a large area of its west campus for the construction of a medical teaching center. WHR was hired to design the complex, which includes four new facilities designated for allied health, nursing, emerging technologies and a clinic.

Working in association with Richter Architects, WHR integrated the four new buildings to harmonize with the Del Mar campus. The buildings house an impressive range of programs, such as registered and vocational nurse education, allied health including dentistry, diagnostic medical sonography, medical lab technology, OT and PT, radiology technology, respiratory therapy, surgical technology, human services, workforce and economic development, and business and industrial technology.

The college now has a dedicated complex that dramatically expands its teaching offerings, with shared classrooms, computer labs, storage spaces, conference rooms, offices and workroom areas.
