Mercy Health Center
Bentonville, Arkansas
This 71,355 square foot center is located on a 20-acre site six miles from the main hospital. WHR was asked to design a new facility that provides more accessible ambulatory care to a fast growing community, a site for newly integrated physician practices, an increasing focus on primary care, consumer-convenient ambulatory procedures, and increased system visibility in a growing market.
We used familiar materials, forms, and colors to create a welcoming and non-threatening environment. The center incorporates materials and forms that are readily available and identify with the local community. A local artist created the majority of the artwork, which portrays small town communities. Undertones of ecclesiastical design and symbolism are featured throughout the facility.
