A repeat client, WHR has provided multiple services, including the recently completed Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. An 82,000 square foot expansion of cancer treatment and surgical facilities, the new Center is one of two in the entire United States with the unique clinical application of radiation therapy "intensity modulation".
Along with this special therapy there are also several other departments, including a Women's Center, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Private Practice Oncology/Hematology. The Center also includes two linear accelerator vaults, a high-dose radiation Brachytherapy treatment room, and a CT scanner. There is a resource center for patients with computer access to information and also the Internet.
The facility is designed with patient-centered care features such as skylights, outdoor gardens, a meditation room, a donor wall, and a water wall.
