Position Summary
The Student Intern will assist licensed Architects in the preparation of design, design development and construction documents. He/she will assist with the preparation and coordination of consultant information regarding systems design, specifications, materials, color and equipment.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in an architecture degree program and have knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT and 3D rendering software. Effective communication, organization and presentation skills needed. Prior internship experience preferred. Experience working in Revit and understanding LEED principles a plus.
- Must have 0 to 1 years’ experience in the project delivery process
Competencies and Skills
- Ability to understand and interpret construction documents
- Has good working knowledge of CAD or REVIT
- Sufficient drafting skills to assist with construction documents
- Knowledge of presentation and graphic design software
- Has good oral communication and writing skills
- Has analytical thinking skills
- Is adaptable and objective
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of design, design development and construction documents
- Assist firm leadership in the accomplishment of specialized assigned tasks
- Continue education through seminars and participation in professional organization activities
- Pursue licensure
