Position Summary
WHR is searching for an experienced Project Architect who will be the technical leader on a singular project, working under the direction of an SPA. He/she will provide supervision and guidance on all technical matters related to the delivery of a project, and will be responsible for guiding, supervising and maintaining quality across the A/E team on the project. The PA will assist in business development efforts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the team consultants
- Manage documentation and specification process on a project
- Responsible for reviewing all owner provided information on a project
- Assist in maintaining the project budget and schedule
- Implement the project’s quality control process
- Assist in coordinating and obtaining approvals from regulatory authorities
- Assist in evaluating team members’ performance
- Assist the SPA in preparing final project data sheet
- Supervise, direct and mentor junior staff
- Continue education through seminars and participation in professional organization activities
- Be aware of business development opportunities for the firm
The successful candidate will have a strategic orientation and possess analytical thinking skills; be a conceptual thinker with design sensitivity who can anticipate potential project challenges; have proficiency in REVIT with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook; and have knowledge of codes and regulatory requirements.
Position Requirements
Professional degree in architecture with at least 10 years’ experience in project delivery. Minimum ten years’ experience in healthcare. Must be licensed as an architect.
