Dera-Jill was awarded the Herman Miller Scholarship in 2000.
While working at WHR, she worked on a master plan for the Intermountain Health Systems in Cedar City, Utah, Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, and a first place replacement hospital competition in Portugal.
She has also organized and led a research team in the analysis of advanced building systems of hospitals and development of new hospital building standards.
She is currently at CCS Architecture in San Francisco.
