Houston, Texas (December 2007) � Each holiday season, WHR Architects, Inc. (WHR) makes a charitable donation on behalf of their colleagues, friends and clients to several outstanding organizations. For 2007, WHR chose NORA's Home and Freedom by Design.
NORA's Home provides families a place to stay while their loved ones receive treatment in the Texas Medical Center. Nora's Home, in partnership with The Methodist Hospital, serves people with end-stage organ disease, as well as anyone dealing with family medical emergencies.
Freedom by Design is a volunteer organization which surveys homes and removes barriers in the residences of people with disabilities. The mission of Freedom by Design is to radically impact people's lives by giving them access to their homes through simple design and construction solutions.
