Dallas, Texas � Anita Picozzi Moran has joined the Dallas office of WHR Architects. Ms. Moran, nationally recognized for her work in academic architecture, will strengthen the firm�s Education, Science and Technology practice and broaden the talent base in the growing Dallas office.

Moran is a pioneer in the design of campus recreation centers with a national reputation. A frequent lecturer and well-published author on the design of recreation centers, she is a leader in the movement that encourages greater social engagement and physical wellbeing on campus through the design of state-of-the-art facilities. �Anita understands the very real link between behavior and architecture,� commented David Watkins FAIA, Chairman and Founding Principal of WHR. �She shares WHR�s commitment to improving the quality of life for those who use our buildings.�
A graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Design and Environmental Analysis, Moran received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia. She is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and is the founder and chair of the AIA Dallas Art of Architecture Competition. The juried art competition engages middle and high school students and encourages them to study the built environment through drawing painting or other media. In addition Moran is an active member of the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA.)
