As one of 22 Shriner's hospitals in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, the Honolulu Hospital is the second oldest, established in 1923. Reconstructed in the 1960s with an addition in 1992, the hospital has provided orthopedic health care to over 23,000 children from Hawaii and 17 other countries in the Pacific Basin.
Genesis is currently providing Medical Technology assessment and much-needed planning improvements for this 150,000-gsf replacement hospital.
This project is the second of three hospitals that Genesis has been retained to provide planning services. The Shriner's hospitals have unique clinical characteristics and requirements that Genesis addresses effectively and efficiently.
